3 Easy DIY Fall Decor Projects
It’s that time of year again, the leaves are turning colors, the weather is getting colder, and pumpkins are popping up on front porches everywhere.
Decorating for fall is fun! The decorations are almost inspired by nature, making fall my favorite season. There are countless options available for fall decor, but many of them are expensive or labor intensive. The 3 easy DIY fall decor projects below are painless and affordable so you can celebrate the beauty of autumn without breaking the bank or your back.
- Leaf Wreath- Start with a sturdy foundation. You can buy a wire frame from your local dollar store. Hide the frame with twigs and sticks, attaching them with fishing line. Now you are ready to add fall flair! Go on a walk in the woods. Collect leaves, pine cones, acorns. Or anything else you find that catches your eye. Use more fishing line and glue to attach your treasures to your wreath. Viola! For the cost of a dollar store frame and some fishing line, you have a beautiful handmade fall wreath for your front door.
- Fall Centerpiece: turn your glass containers into a fall centerpiece by placing a candle in the center of the vase and filling the sides with cranberries, nuts, or corn. For a more formal style, add a silk or burlap ribbon around the container. Make sure to leave plenty of space between the candle’s flame and your materials. No one likes a house fire! Arrange the finished candles on your table any way you want.
- Basket of pumpkins: All you need for this one is wicker baskets and pumpkins. You can pick up a few baskets at a dollar store or thrift store, and most grocery stores carry a variety of pumpkins and other gourds this time of year. Fill the baskets with pumpkins and other fall squashes and set them out on your porch. For a more luxury modern style paint them white and gold.
